A new opportunity has become available within the Financial Resources Management division for a Management Accountant – Portfolios, this role will provide financial management services that include budgeting, planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting for allocated areas as determined by business need.
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this role will have a focus on identifying and contributing to planning, managing issues and risks associated with implementing financial management initiatives and changes to policies, procedures and legislation.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:
- Performing cost benefit analysis, prepare financial projections and develop scenario modelling.
- Undertake activities to support business decision-making, including analysis (to inform financial capability, operating performance and business growth improvements) and identifying and responding strategically to issues, trends and opportunities.
- Contributing to the planning, management and effective implementation of continuous improvement activities relating to financial management practices and procedures.
We are seeking an individual that has a strong understanding and proven expertise in financial management, including the development, review and implementation of relevant policies and procedures. The candidate will have experience in providing quality finance accounting advice along with developing and preparing complex budgets, forecasting and income/expenditure management.
The successful person will also have a current membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Public Accountants.
