At the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies of the University of Vienna the position of a

Tenure-Track Professorship
for the field of
Neuromediality

(full-time position) is to be filled.

The research focus of the tenure track position is in the area of auditory and visual as well as cross-modal perception and in the cognitive and/or emotional processing of sensory stimuli. Within the framework of the advertised position, innovative transdisciplinary research projects on the impact of new media (on the perception of music, noise, speech, images, videos, etc.) are to be developed. This is to be done in close cooperation with the faculty's own MediaLab (e.g. motion capture, EEG, eye tracking, high-speed video, VR etc., https://medialab.univie.ac.at/ausstattung ) as well as in exchange with the faculty's musicological, language, and media science departments and the university's Cognitive Science Hub.
