Innovative packaging and the distribution of perishable products

Consumers are paying increasing attention to environmental issues. In this perspective, packaging plays a crucial role; at a global level a series of actions are underway, aimed at better regulating the characteristics of the container used to deliver products. In general, over time the sensitivity of both legislators, companies and consumers is moving towards the use of recyclable materials (for example, replacing plastic with paper, or using biodegradable plastics) and towards a lighter box.
Alongside these considerations more associated to the circular economy and sustainability, there are others reasons referred to the ability of materials to better preserve the content and to the impact that packaging has on consumer perceptions of content.
The aim of the research is to analyze the local market for home delivery of fresh or prepared food and in particular the behavior of consumers throughout the purchase process.
