At Unitec, our students don't just learn the theory; we like to learn the practical side too. The key to getting to where we want to go is having the right people. We approach learning differently to enable better futures for our students and communities, and our combination of theory and hands-on experience will give students the skills to meet the changing needs of employers.
As a Student Support and Scholarships Advisor, you will provide proactive holistic and culturally safe services for students to support and enhance their journey. This is an incredibly rewarding role, where you will directly contribute to our students' experience at Unitec. This role primarily supports students with accommodation, financial hardship, informal complaints, pastoral care, financial support and literacy.
Please see the position description for more details.
To be successful in this position you will be passionate about providing high level customer service, with a focus on excellence, non-judgmental support and interactions. You'll have strong organisational skills and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities while liaising with staff and students across Unitec. Youth and/or community work, knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
In exchange for your hard work
You'll be working within a close-knit team and will also work closely with other teams across Unitec, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know the wider group. We offer a range of benefits including discounted gym, Life and Income Insurance and the chance to give back to tomorrow's generation.
Apply today! The closing date is 21 June at midday.
Please note: we do not always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply early. We aim to contact all applicants within one week of the job closing date.
Unitec Institute of Technology is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a supportive and inclusive environment for all employees.
