Who we are

Disability Information and Support – Te Pokapū Hāpai Huka Hauā is a student support service at the University of Otago - Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo. Our role is to provide learning support, advice, advocacy and information to students who have a disability, impairment, injury or, medical condition that affects their study.

Our vision is to work in partnership to promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, promotes comprehensive academic support, and empowers individuals with impairments to achieve their full potential.

About the role

Due to internal change, Disability Information and Support is now looking for a Test/Exams Coordinator to join our close knit and enthusiastic team. We are seeking a highly organised person to coordinate test and exam arrangements for students with disabilities and/or impairments to allow them to demonstrate their knowledge on a level playing field.

As a Test/Exams Coordinator, you will be highly flexible with the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and thrive on working to deadlines. Attention to detail, proven organisational skills and clear communication is a must in this fast paced environment, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure. If working in an upbeat environment that is both challenging and rewarding is appealing then this may be the perfect role for you.

Your skills and experience

To be successful as a Test/Exams Coordinator you will have:

• A results focussed outlook with a well-honed ability to multitask.
• Critical thinking ability and problem solving skills relevant to the position.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build rapport.
• The ability to be flexible, adaptable and professional.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programmes and well-developed keyboard and word processing skills.
• A recognised qualification in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.

Further Details

This is a part-time (30 hours per week), permanent position.
