The main goal of the research at the Unit of Integrative Epidemiology is to improve the understanding of the causes and consequences of ill health and disease, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases, psychiatric disorders, and cancer. We strive for multidisciplinary approaches in epidemiologic research and integrate different scientific tools when addressing specific research questions. The Unit seeks an enthusiastic research assistant for one year.
The successful candidate will participate in several research projects. The main tasks are project management, data cleaning and data management of the collected data, performing statistical analyses and report the obtained results. The ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, and to engage in continuous professional development is a must.
The successful applicant is expected to have:
- Advanced data management skills using statistical software (preferably SAS, R and/or STATA)
- Experience and interest in statistical analysis and reporting of results
- Interest in working in an international research group, preferably with experience of international collaborations
- Excellence in written and verbal communication in English
- Motivation, attention to detail, problem solving ability and social skills are highly valuable
- Documented skills in summarizing existing literature in the field, and in formulating research questions based on existing evidence
