NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West Midlands (ARC WM) is expanding it’s Public and Involvement Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an effective Public Involvement and Engagement Officer to work with ARC WM’s Public Involvement and Engagement Lead and the ARC WM Central Team to shape and deliver it’s Public Involvement and Engagement Strategy and continue to develop a positive culture for public involvement and engagement throughout the ARC WM Community. Importantly, this role will help ensure that NIHR ARC WM’s activities are relevant to the health and social care needs of West Midland’s diverse communities.

ARC WM builds on experience of involving patients and the public in a range of research projects. The Public Involvement and Engagement Officer will ensure that ARC WM’s ways of working with public contributors align to the NIHR Standards for Involvement and incorporate principles and features of Co-Production.

The Public Involvement and Engagement Officer will work with the ARC WM Public Involvement Community to develop and operationalise it’s Strategy for involving and engaging with the public and people from our diverse communities.
