Boston University Academy is seeking a part-time mathematics instructor to begin in August 2021 for the 2021-2022 academic year. The purpose of the Mathematics Instructor is to provide an exceptional, rigorous classroom environment and to support Academy students in the learning process. Instructors are an integral part of the Academy community of adults, and help with many facets of ensuring that the students have a positive experience.

As the only high school in New England that is part of a major research university, Boston University Academy (BUA) offers students who love learning both a traditional, caring independent school experience and access to a broad range of university courses. In the eleventh and twelfth grades, students follow their passions by regularly completing up to twelve courses from Boston University’s undergraduate curriculum. The school’s 202 students are curious, capable, and kind. They come from 55 cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. 57% of students identify as students of color. 31% of students are on financial aid — a reflection of BUA’s commitment to equity and access.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's or PhD candidacy preferred. Three to five years work experience.
