Position Highlights The Department of Otolaryngology in the College of Medicine Tucson at the University of Arizona is seeking applicants for Clinical Research Coordinator II. The Clinical Research Coordinator II, will work under the direction of Principal Investigator Jonathan Skirko to develop, facilitates, implement, evaluates, performs, administers and oversees a wide variety of research programs, and will manage clinical trials within Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. This position provides for the safety of patients involved in clinical trials ensuring protocol adherence.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design, development, execution and initial interpretation of clinical trials, protocols and treatment plans. 
  • Submits study protocols and amendments, consent forms, and recruiting materials to the Institutional Review Board and department for approval with oversight from supervisor. 
  • Collects subject data, enters and analyzes data, and compiles reports, adhering to proper research protocols. Prepares documentation, reports, graphs, and other materials. Keeps appropriate logs, tracks participants, and prepares study materials. 
  • Recruits, screens, and enrolls study participants who meet research criteria. Collects basic information through interviews and answers general questions. Maintains telephone and in-person contact. Notifies Principal Investigator and supervisor of subject status. 
  • Obtains medical histories and conducts medical assessments of clinical trial subjects, including symptom management with appropriate referral. Creates treatment plans and serves as an information resource for trial subjects. Performs physical exams, including assessing vital signs and administering prescribed medications. Conducts adverse event assessment and provides recommendations to Principal Investigator or physicians.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
