Summary of Job Duties:

Instructor duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Classes taught in person include but are not limited to: Biological Sciences or Physical Sciences (Earth Science, Chemistry and/or Physics).
instructor Duties:
*Teaches classes assigned per term, in person, online, and/or synchronous
*Participates in ongoing curriculum development, implementation, assessment and evaluation.
*Utilizes innovative teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population.
*Plans and organizes lesson plans, reference materials, syllabi, technology and other learning aids.
*Advises students, maintains office hours, serves on department and College committees, maintains professional competence, and participates in professional development activities.
*Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Master’s Degree which includes the successful completion of a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the Science field

·         Prior work experience in the classroom setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

·         Proficient in the use of computers and computer programs geared toward teaching/learning

·         Ability to engage students enrolled in courses both in the classroom and online

·         Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to large and small groups and individuals

·         Able to problem solve, organize and prioritize work, multi task

·         Flexible and accepting of change

·         Ability to work independently and cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administration.
