We are looking for a highly motivated


Your responsibilities

    We are looking for a Postdoc interested in translating deep learning applications to clinical real-world use, in a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, bioinformaticians and AI experts. Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of deep learning algorithms for hematological diagnostics in a multicentric setting
  • Development of an AI workflow geared towards the needs of routine diagnostics
  • Optimization of AI-based models concerning robustness and stability
  • Supervision of students

Your qualifications
  • PhD in computational image analysis, medical imaging, computational medicine, or a related field
  • Strong motivation and ability to independently work on computational projects
  • Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art image analysis methods, especially deep learning
  • Interest in solving clinically relevant problems using computational methods
  • Desired qualifications
  • Expertise in testing of AI applications or explainability methods for neural networks
  • Expertise in supervision of students
  • Motivation to work and develop in a multi-disciplinary team

Remuneration and social benefits are based on the collective wage agreement for public-sector employees at federal level (TV EntgO Bund). The position is (initially) limited to two years, but under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
