Job Description

The Intelligent Sustainable Technologies Division in the Aerospace, Transportation, and Advanced Systems Lab (ATAS) at GTRI seeks an undergraduate student to assist with the development of a software tool used to automate project management tasks within the division starting summer 2021. The application is developed in Python and uses a SQL-like backend database for data management. This student will work closely with division leadership and administrators to address bugs and develop new features for the tool.


Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Knowledge of version control (Git)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL-like database framework and commands
  • Web development skills and experience
  • Strong math skills and communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently locate and debug issues

Hours per Week

10–20 hours per week
